Question:
I have a Dog, what should I do to take special care of my A/C System?
Response:
Dog hair most often will clog the air filter that leads back to the A/C air handler.
If the filter gets clogged up, then air flow will be reduced, and you unit will have to work harder to keep you cool.
So not only will you dog keep you warm, so will your A/C.. not so good!
Inspect your filter often, at least once a month.
If you have a disposable filter, you should replace it often, if you have the washable types then I reccommend that you wash them at least once a month.
Whatever you do, do not leave the A/C running with the filter removed.
I'll repeat that as it's really really important! Do not run your A/C unit without the air filter! Dust and dog hair will get into the A/C unit and then you'll start to develop a real problem.
Any questions, just ask us.
Mike.
